Why a New Pool Can Still Leak
A new PVC system may leak at a joint that was contaminated, moved before curing, misaligned, or loaded during surrounding construction. A fitting can also be stressed when soil is compacted or other trades work around the unfinished pool.
The fact that a system is new should not rule out plumbing. Each circuit is isolated and tested so the owner has evidence to bring into a repair or warranty conversation.
Equipment-Pad and Construction-Boom Issues
Fast-moving development can place several trades around the equipment pad at once. Small suction-side air leaks, union seals, valve connections, and rigid pipe alignment should be checked before an underground break is assumed.
An equipment leak may be visible only while the pump is operating or during shutdown. Observation through both transitions helps document the condition.
Skimmer and Light Seals in Newer Pools
A skimmer throat, light conduit, or fitting penetration can leak from the beginning if the waterproof connection was incomplete. Dye testing can identify a directional path while pressure testing evaluates the connected plumbing.
